Baton does not collect, store, transmit, or share any user data. No conversation content, personal information, usage analytics, or any other data is sent to any server.

All extension functionality operates entirely within the user's browser. Conversation context used during handoffs is processed locally and never leaves the device.

The extension requests only the permissions necessary to detect rate limits on claude.ai and chatgpt.com and to inject context into those pages when the user initiates a handoff.

Baton is open source under the MIT license. You are welcome — and encouraged — to verify these claims by reading the source code yourself.
